This class is open to ages 14+

Join Rohn Strong (@rohnstrong on Instagram) to learn the basics of Wholecloth Walking Foot Quilting! This is a fun and exciting class that requires only a working knowledge of a sewing machine and the ability to use a walking foot.

In this workshop you’ll learn to make a soft and modern mini-quilt! In this 3.5-hour session, we’ll learn:

  • How to prep your fabric for a wholecloth quilt

  • Marking your fabric and choosing a design

  • Starting and Stopping

  • Burying your ends

  • Binding your quilt

By the end of your class, you’ll leave with a modern wall hanging and the skills to move onto bigger wholecloth quilt projects.

Fabric is not included in the cost of this class. Students will need to supply 3 fat quarters (18”x22”) of fabric. Please choose a high quality quilting cotton. Students will also need to provide a contrasting thread.

Note: Students should have a basic knowledge of sewing and a familiarity with their sewing machine. If bringing your own machine please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get it set up.
