Macrame Jewelry for Beginners

Tuesday, May 14th, 2019

6:30pm - 8:30pm

Craft Habit Raleigh - 2423 Crabtree Blvd

This class is open to ages 14+

Learn the basics of macrame AND make stunning jewelry!  In this class, you’ll learn the basic knots of macrame - lark’s head, square knot, and clove hitch.  You’ll use those knots to make a mini macrame pendant, using metal findings and rope. Your finished piece can become a necklace, keychain, or mini decoration. The knots you will learn are the basics of many macrame projects, so you can use this knowledge to make wall hangings and other macrame crafts.

Our instructor, Erin Kraftchick, also teaches Intro to Sewing and Intro to Weaving.  She has recently been dabbling in macraweaving, a modern combination of weaving into a large macrame piece.

Supplies Needed:

  • Macrame cord and findings will be provided as part of your class fee

  • Your choice of stringing material (leather, chain, cord, etc) and other fingings will be available for purchase at a 10% discount
