Sewing Acts of Kindness

Come sew bags for the Garner Food Pantry!

Can you sew in a straight line? Want to do something meaningful for thanksgiving to give back to your neighborhood? The local Sewing Acts of Kindness gang is getting back together to sew totes for the Garner food pantry. They are gifted to hungry families in the area who need a hot holiday meal to take with them. We normally make 50 totes in 3 hours from pre-cut kits so it's fast and easy to do. Sewing is at Craft Habit Raleigh in partnership with Haus Page and the Raleigh Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. All supplies are provided. You're welcome to bring scrap fabric or treats with you to share if you want to contribute, but not required. We mostly need the help sewing.

Past Sewing Acts of Kindness projects have included chemotherapy port pillows (to help the chemo process be more comfortable) and other projects that help make someone's life better. We will be hosting future Sewing Acts of Kindness projects here at the shop - join us!
