As part of the Season of Giving (we like that name!) we are running an Art Supplies Drive for the local non-profit Art Intimacy, as well as an “Undies Drive” for Note in the Pocket, another local non-profit.
That's right, we are collecting BOTH art supplies AND panties. You can joke if you want, but underwear is VERY important and is often not included in clothing donations. The Note In The Pocket organization provides clean clothing and underwear to homeless and needy school children in Wake County. They especially need adult-sized items (because teens are adult-size!) and we are happy to collect underwear for them. Drop off your new, packaged underwear (panties, bras, boxers, undershirts) at our store through Dec. 31st. The most needed items are women's underwear in all sizes and girls underwear in size 4 and 5.
If you'd rather help out with art supplies, the Art Intimacy project is collecting new supplies and gently used tools for use in their work with needy youth and teens. They believe (as we do!) that art is important for all children! They need art supplies and materials of all kinds; this is a great way to tidy up your unused supplies and make sure they go to a good place! We'll collect art supplies and tools through Dec. 31st.
