One of THE most basic techniques you need for doing any kind of jewelry repair or creation is opening and closing a jump ring. Those are the tiny metal rings that are used to attach charms, clasps, dangles and chains to each other in most of the jewelry you buy, see and make. These tiny rings are made of hardened wire and come in oval or round shapes. Okay, technically they come in squares, rectangles and lots of other shapes, but let's just focus on the basics.
In this video Sarah shows you the way to properly open and close a jump ring without deforming the shape. Watch and learn!
